What is the difference between a wedding site and a post-wedding site?
A wedding site is intended to be a central point of information leading to the wedding and beyond, with the option of adding photos and a video clip after the event to allow people to share in the memories of your special day.
A post-wedding site is intended for those couples who did not get round to organising a wedding site before their wedding, but have now decided it would be a nice way to share their memories of the day.
How long in advance of the wedding should I set up the wedding site?
To ensure that you, your family and friends enjoy the full benefit of your wedding site, it is advisable that you have your wedding site up and running at least 6 to 9 months in advance of your wedding date. This will enable you to use it as a central point of contact for family and friends requiring information about your special day and the events leading up to it, including details of the wedding list, accommodation, etc. This is particularly important if you have guests coming from outside your city or town, and even more so if you are expecting guest from overseas.

How do I pay?
All payments are made either by direct bank deposit to our company account, through M-Pesa (Safaricom) or ZAP (Zain) for those living within East Africa.
Can I buy one of your wedding sites as a gift for a friend who is getting married?
Of course! In fact, this is becoming one of the most popular wedding gifts that friends and relatives are giving to engaged couples. I have received your wedding site as a gift - can I upgrade it?
Any time! You can easily upgrade your wedding site to the next level simply by paying the difference between the value of the site you received as a gift and the value of the category you wish to create for your wedding.

What information do I need to provide you with?
The downloads below will guide you through the information we require in order to complete your wedding site. You will need to read all the guidelines carefully before placing your order.
Wedding site Content Guides:
It is important to ensure that the content you provide us with at the time of your order is correct. You will have the opportunity to make changes to the content of your wedding site after it has been launched (including adding information that may not have been finalised when you launched your wedding site), but if your changes are extensive we may require you to purchase maintenance credit to cover the cost of the work.
How long does a wedding site take to complete?
Work will start on your wedding site once we have all of the necessary content and full payment from you. We will under normal circumstances have a draft site available for you to review the text and images within seven (7) working days of starting work on the wedding site. Once we have completed the draft site based on the content provided, we will send you a link for you to review and to confirm that you are happy for it to go live. Should you notice any discrepancies between the content provided and that contained in the wedding site, we will make the necessary corrections before the site is launched.
Once you have satisfied that all the text and images are okay, your site should be viewable world-wide three (3) working days later.

What features are included in the price of a wedding site?
Home Page (Welcome page), About Us (Bride & Groom Story), Then & Now (Page with pictures of the bride and groom when they were young), Family Photos (Page with pictures of family members from bride & Groom side), Bridal Party (brief Introduction and their pictures), Schedule of Ongoing Events, Wedding Program, Photo Gallery, General Information about Kenya (If expecting guest from outside Kenya), General Information Wedding Venue City / Town (for people traveling from other cities / towns ), Updates Page (Where the latest information on your wedding program will be posted), Gift Registry (To direct people where you have registered for gift items), Contact Us (page from where friends / relatives will send you emails), Wedding Day Photo Gallery (Images of your wedding day which will be posted to the site after the wedding) and finally a Thank You page where both bride and groom will extend appreciation to friends and relative involved in various aspects of the wedding day.
Can I protect the site with a password?
All our Kenya wedding sites include password protection. It is also possible to add a stronger password encryption to your site on request at a small extra fee of Kshs. 450/=.
Can we change the names of the pages on our wedding site?
If you would like to change the names of any of the pages of your wedding site design, please contact us before placing your order setting out your proposed changes. If the changes are straightforward, we will make every effort to be flexible.
Domain hosting and site maintenance
How long will the wedding site be up and running?
Each wedding site includes an initial period of hosting of 12 months*. Our post-wedding sites each include 12 months of web hosting as standard.
You can extend the life of your wedding site indefinitely by purchasing our extended hosting packages.

Can I extend the life of my wedding site?
Yes, certainly. A couple of weeks before your wedding site is due to expire, we will contact you to give you the option of extending your hosting period. We offer a number of payment options to offer you full flexibility.
Can I make changes to the wedding site after it has been launched?
Yes. Each of our wedding sites includes maintenance which entitles you to one free update every four (4) weeks during the initial hosting period. This can be used to make limited editorial changes to the wedding site after launch and during the initial hosting period. If, however, you require extensive changes to the wedding site after it has been launched, we may require you to purchase additional maintenance cover for the additional work involved.
Who owns the domain name I choose?
OurKenyaWedding.com will retain all intellectual property comprising your wedding site, including the domain name and server files. If you wish to keep the domain name once your wedding site has expired, we will be happy to transfer the ownership of the domain name back to you for a small administrative fee.
Can I update a wedding site with a post-wedding site after the event?
Yes, absolutely. Some people prefer to update their wedding site with a post-wedding site after the wedding has taken place to keep the site current and remove any redundant pages.

Why do I need to provide 3 alternative domain names?
We ask you to provide 3 alternative subdomain or domain names in the unlikely event that your preferred subdomain or domain name has been acquired by somebody else sometime between you placing your order and OurKenyaWedding.com creating your domain name.
Are the wedding sites compatible with all browsers?
The majority of internet users use Internet Explorer as their browser. The remainder use a variety of other browsers, including Netscape, Mozilla, AOL, Opera and Safari.
OurKenyaWedding.com develops the wedding sites to be fully compatible with Internet Explorer. As different browsers interpret web pages differently, we cannot guarantee that the wedding sites will look absolutely identical across all browsers. However, we do test the sites on other browsers so that any differences can be minimised.
The resolution of a visitor's computer monitor will also determine how much of the wedding site is visible on the screen. The wedding sites have been optimised for a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels, so a small number of users with lower resolutions (such as 800 x 600) may need to use the horizontal scroll bar to see some of the wedding site.
In addition, features such as the dynamic site photos, photo album and video clip will not work on computers that do not have Flash Player installed. The majority of computers do nowadays, and for those that do not, they will be prompted to download the necessary software for free upon accessing the site.

How old must I be to join your Affiliate Program?
You must be at least twenty-one (21) years old to join our Kenya wedding affiliate program.
Must I be living in a large city or town to join?
Absolutely not! All you require is an Internet connection, either Broadband or Modem, and you are set to go! In addition, you do not require to have an Internet connection on a full time basis to be effective as an affiliate.
How much can I make in a month with your affiliate program?
Depending on your personal drive, network and "nose" for business, you could easily make Kshs. 40,000/= from your affiliate activities on a part time basis.
